ABOUT ME
Technology is developing at a pace we have never experienced before, yet in many cases the property market still seems to struggle to keep up with the times. My vision was to create an agency that utilises the best in modern convenience, yet holding on to the traditional values of service and communication which are so important. Besides offering an unrivaled service, I wanted to make sure our proposition offered excellent value for money and this is where I feel we make the biggest difference! My mission was to create a model where customers had a clear and understandable choice.
Where I am now - In 2023 we bought a house in the East Devon National Landscape. In 2025 we moved into it permanently. Two years between the purchase and the move is an unusual amount of time to spend getting a house right, and it taught me something I now do for other people professionally.
I spent twenty years on the selling side of property, and in that time I watched the same pattern repeat: the seller has an agent, the lender has a surveyor, both solicitors have a client — and the buyer, who is spending the money, has nobody in the room working only for them.
Westward Direction exists to be that person. It is an independent buying agency covering Devon and the wider South West, working on fixed fees, holding no client money, and never acting for a seller. I am still a member of NAEA Propertymark, as I have been throughout.
